5 Steps to Mastering Webtastic

In this article, we'll explain how to use Webtastic.ai to find clients with high purchase intent, who are therefore more likely to convert. We'll start by helping you define your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), then we'll walk you through how to find new clients that match your ICP, how to add them to a leadlist, and how to import that list into your CRM.

Step 1️: Define your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)

To begin your outbound marketing journey, it's important to understand your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). You can analyze your existing customer base to identify common characteristics like demographics, industries, company size, company stage, revenue, or external funding events. Alternatively, you can conduct market research to gather data on industry trends, customer behavior, and competitor analysis.

Once you have a clear understanding of your ICP, you can move on to the next step: leveraging Webtastic's AI purchase intent targeting criteria to find clients that match your ICP.

Step 2️: Identify Purchase Intent Signals Based Leads

At Webtastic AI, we offer a wide range of purchase intent targeting criteria that you can select and/or combine. In this section, we'll go through all of the available layers.

Company details targeting

Webtastic allows for finding leads that match your ICP, based on company details such as incorporation date, number of employees, and industries. Here is a list of all industries.

Company details

🔎 Company Name: Discover contact details of prospects directly. Use quotes (“ ”) for exact-match search.

🗓️ Incorporation Date: Target newer companies for potential openness to innovation and outsourcing or established ones for larger budgets.

👥 Number of Employees: Choose fewer employees for quick decision-making and close collaborations. Opt for a larger staff when pursuing long-term revenue growth.

🏭 Industries: Refine your targeting to industries where your service efficiently addresses specific challenges. Exclude certain industries to narrow down your search.

Location targeting

Webtastic AI offers geographic targeting to align with your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). Refine your lead search with precise geographical criteria from continents, to countries, regions and cities.

Financials targeting

Webtastic AI also presents advanced financial targeting options, designed to help you pinpoint leads that match your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) based on their financial attributes.

financial details

📈  Revenue Targeting: Revenue targeting allows for approaching prospects across various growth stages: startups aiming for expansion, mid-sized companies optimizing processes, and established enterprises exploring diversification.

💰 Last Funding Date: Funding freshness helps to target prospects with heightened openness to innovation and outsourcing. Companies that have recently raised are often more open for innovation, are more adaptable to change and have a higher risk tolerance. Reaching out to them first, might give you a competitive advantage.

💸 Last Funding Amount: Zoom in on companies based on the size of their latest funding injection. Smaller funding rounds might indicate an early-stage hunger for growth, while larger ones can signal a company's evolution into new markets or products.

🫰 Total Funding Amount: Target companies by their cumulative funding. Larger totals often mean validated markets, stable growth, openness to innovation, and ample resources. Smaller totals can indicate early stages, need for process optimization, or niche focus.

Technology targeting

On the more technical side, Webtastic AI allows for targeting over 3.4K+ web-based technologies. Here is a full list of all 3490 technologies. Below I highlighted the main categories.

🎯 SEO Score: Discover websites with a low SEO score, seeking SEO expertise to boost organic traffic, and conversions to maximize business growth.

🏁 Website Performance: Tap into low-performance score websites. Subpar performing websites  drive potential customers away, creating a lucrative opportunity for web development agencies looking for new clients.

⏱️ Loading Speed: Slow website loading speeds swiftly deter visitors. This presents yet another opportunity to offer solutions that accelerate loading times and improve business results.

Web traffic targeting

Targeting monthly web traffic and bounce rate presents a strategic B2B lead gen approach. Identifying low traffic and high bounce rate businesses that match your ICP, allows for reaching out and offer solutions, positioning your services as vital for improving online performance.

📊 Monthly Web Traffic: Connect with companies struggling with low monthly web visitors, as they're actively seeking help to rev up their web traffic.

🚀 Bounce Rate: A high bounce rate signals untapped potential. Websites struggling to keep visitors engaged are eagerly waiting for your insights to turn their bounce rates into conversion rates.

Traffic sources targeting

Identify prospects aligned with your ICP through traffic source targeting. Web traffic sources often provide insights into a prospect's digital strategy and pain points, creating opportunities for focused outreach efforts.

📈 Web Traffic Sources: Analyse and target the distribution of traffic sources – from direct and organic search to social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and Instagram. Each source holds clues about a prospect's digital strategy and opens doors for targeted outreach.

💡 Pro Tip: Craft your approach around the insights you gather. Show potential clients how your services can align with their current traffic sources and optimise their overall online performance.

Facebook metrics targeting

Refine your efforts with targeting social media metrics that match your ICP. Evaluating factors such as Instagram followers, following, and post frequency reveals untapped growth potential. Similarly, assessing Facebook likes and Twitter engagement unveils opportunities to enhance brand visibility and connections.

👍 Facebook Likes: Identify businesses with a modest number of Facebook likes. Similar to the above, this metric could indicate room for growth in terms of audience engagement and brand visibility.

Instagram metrics targeting

📷 Instagram Followers: Discover businesses with a substantially low Instagram following. A lower follower count could suggest untapped potential for growth and brand expansion.

👥 Instagram Following: Companies with a limited number of accounts they follow might be seeking fresh perspectives and collaborations to enhance their online presence.

🖼️ Instagram Posts: Analyze the frequency of Instagram posts. Businesses that post infrequently might be missing out on consistent engagement opportunities.

X (Twitter) metrics targeting

🐦 X Followers: Help companies with a limited following. These businesses might be seeking ways to expand their reach and real-time interactions.

👤 X Followings: Sparse following could imply a need to diversify their network. Tailor your outreach to address this gap, demonstrating how your services can introduce them to valuable connections.

📣 Tweets: Businesses that rarely tweet might be in search of content strategies to maintain an active presence.

Step 3️: Selecting Leads That Match Your ICP

Selecting leads has been simplified. Leads can be picked either from the list view or directly from the company details view.

To make things more efficient, Webtastic AI’s Magic Select feature (introduced in Webtastic 1 and subsequent versions) allows for bulk lead selections of up to 5000 at a time, contingent on your current pricing tier.
